Charity Comic-book Auction!

Posted on: January 15th, 2013 2 Comments

Strange Adventures will be hosting a live in-store auction of special edition comics with covers illustrated by local cartoonists and illustrators! Saturday afternoon, March 2nd, in the Fredericton store on York Street; drop by to bid or see how your silent bids are doing!

100% of the money raised is going to the Chalmers Regional Hospital Foundation for the betterment of the children’s ward.

If you’re an artist and would like to contribute, we have blank cover editions of many Marvel Comics available at the Fredericton and Halifax location. Drop off the finished comic cover at either Halifax or Fredericton anytime during the month of February. The earlier in the month, the better for us to showcase the comic covers in the Fredericton store window display and on-line here and on our facebook page.

Silent bids can be made on any of the covers by dropping in to the Fredericton store or by emailing “fredericton@strangeadventures.com” or by calling 1-506-450-3759.

The final auction of all covers will take place at the Fredericton store on Saturday afternoon, March 2nd! We’ll also be adding in some other nifty items to the auction including some statues and rare comics with 100% of the bids going to the Chalmers Regional Hospital Foundation for the betterment of the children’s ward.

Hope to see you at the auction!
