Excavations continue in the “nexus of all realities” that is the storage room at the store. More finds of rare books, oddball comics, and the occasional toy or lightsabre! Follow along on our instagram feed for the most up-to-date finds.

We have a box packed full of posters from the past few years that are in need of wall space in your place! Does your space need some star-spanning heroes or villains? Take a moment to peruse the box and take a few home!

The Atlantic International Film Festival is happening in Halifax on Sept. 16-23 and there’s tons of films that might pique your interest. One that we noticed was “Captain Newfoundland” – a documentary about the NTV media mogul, Geoff Stirling, and his comic book creation, Captain Newfoundland! It screens this Thursday at 6:30PM, Park Lane Cinemas. Tickets and info are available here.

Another one that caught our eye was “The Bookshop That Never Sleeps”, a short film about the Lunenburg bookshop owned by Christopher Webb and how the store opens “only after sundown, offering a quietly quirky haven for night owls, wanderers, and those drawn to the light.” Get tickets here.

and the Dartmouth Sidekick store will be continuing its mad Dollar Daze sale for the rest of September!
